Ergonomic Pill Bottle Funnels

Deci3d was commissioned by Safeway Operations and Sobeys Inc. to design and print custom pill bottle loading funnels for their machines. Initially, workers had to load different size pill bottles one by one, which was slow and not ergonomic. The magazine in which the pill bottles would be loaded is also too low to the ground, causing potential strain on workers’ backs. The newly designed pill bottle-loading funnel brings the loading point higher and the specially designed funnel entry allowed for fast loading. Slight curvatures were designed into the side of the funnel to keep the pill bottles from rotating and entering the magazine the wrong way.
